AFF's Impact

_______________________________________________
AFF's Impact

Since 1979 AFF has contributed hugely to the advancement of understanding of the cult problem and to the education of youth, the public, and professionals.  We estimate that:

bullet

Several hundred thousand students have directly benefited from our preventive educational materials (especially the video narrated by Charlton Heston, Cults: Saying No Under Pressure).

bullet

AFF experts have been cited in hundreds, probably thousands, of print and broadcast news stories.

bullet

Our network of volunteer professionals associated with AFF has increased to nearly 150.  Collectively they have spoken to tens of thousands of professionals at conventions and other meetings.

bullet

Nearly one-half of the psychological literature in the field is written by AFF associates and nearly one-third is published in AFF's Cultic Studies Journal.

bullet

Since its founding, AFF has sent information via US mail to more than 100,000 people.

bullet

Our workshops and conferences have helped several thousand former members and families.

bullet

Hundreds of thousands of people have read the 30 books authored by AFF associates over the years.

bullet

We estimate that more than 1,000,000 people from more than 70 countries visit our Web site (http://www.csj.org) each year.
