Thomas Robbins, Ph.D. is an independent scholar in the sociology of
religion (Ph.D. University of North Carolina). He is the
author of Cults, Converts, and Charisma (1988) and has co-edited
five collections of original papers, including In Gods We Trust
(Transaction, 1981, 1990), Millennium, Messiahs and Mayhem
(Routledge, 1997), and Misunderstanding Cults (University of Toronto
Press, 2001). He has published numerous articles, essays, and
reviews for journals in social science and religious studies.
He resides in Rochester, Minnesota. |
